Exit 123 is six diverse and talented musicians that will entertain and enthrall you. They are equally at home playing Rock or Country, and can fill your night with either or both. You won't believe the talent ranging throughout this band of true professionals.
David Grappe is our own version of George Strait, Alan Jackson and Billy Currington with salt and pepper hair and an acoustic guitar. He has fronted this band for over 8 years and is still entertaining folks of all ages. Founding member Marty Polk, like David, is a resident of Bryant and has played bass/drums/spoons since he was about 5 years old. Originally from Marvell, AR he joined up with David and Ben when the idea to start this group was hatched over a plate of catfish. The drummer is Ben Higgs from Bryant, (which by the way is where the highway exit is located from whence the name of the band came from), and has played drums for different rock, jazz, church and big band groups for over 30 years - until this group finally took him in. The versatile Earl Cole from N. Little Rock is a former Little Creek and Midnight Express member who plays a mean Fender Strat and helps sing. The elder statesman of the group is R.J. Greenwood, a resident of Des Arc who has been playing some of the tastiest guitar licks you ever heard for over 45 years. His list of accomplishments cannot be contained in this short article. The most seasoned member is the one and only Rudy Osborne, steel guitarist extraordinaire. His music has taken him overseas twice, to the Grand Ole Opry, and from the set of Hee Haw to playing in Dottie West's Band for 5 years. He now calls Benton home.
